We went to the Round Rock Farmer's Market next. We bought some lamb there. The girls didn't seem to be bothered by it, which was good.
We came home and decided to have a quick snack and then go swimming to cool off. It got REALLY hot that morning!
For lunch we went to Chuy's. Ireland ate up all of her enchilada platter and Spanish rice. Rylee made her own chicken/avocado burrrritas. She also ate a lot of chips. Ireland ate chips and salsa. Neither one wanted a sopapilla. CRAZY!!! I know!!!
That evening for dinner, we met Travis, Tanya and Ian at Joe's Crab Shack so the kids could have a play date. Ian starts kindergarten this year, so I thought he and Ireland would have a nice time playing. They all had a great time playing in the sand and on the slide. G and I had a great time catching up with Trav and Tanya. We don't get to see them often enough.
We got home and took ANOTHER bath to rid the girls of all the sand. They were getting pretty tired at this point, but we wanted to do some more things before putting them to bed. It was only about 7pm.
So, we decided to make ice cream. Uncle Greg went out and bought an ice cream maker. We made pizza with Cody and Regan, so G wanted to make something with the girls, too. They helped stir in lots of the ingredients:
even if Boudreaux tried to sabotage the whole affair.
They got in bed late that night, but had a tummy full of chocolate ice cream. They went to sleep right away without watching a movie or getting up or anything. We wore them out!
